Either go for international/commonly accepted names or regional names. Why thrust one regional language over others?
Also, some Thamizhs simply substitute Hindhi names like Dal for pulses & lentils (பருப்புகள்), Dhaniya for Coriander seeds (மல்லி), Channa for Chickpea (கொண்டைக்கடலை), etc., when they don't know the exact English names. Let's stop this stupid practice. Let Hindhi speakers substitute Hindhi names. Let's, Thamizhs, substitute Thamizh names when we don't know the English equivalents.
