Health Benefits of Ghee

Received the following post through Whatsapp first. After a bit of Googling, I concluded that it was originally written by Ms. Archana Tyagi for a women's blog. Her intention must have been great. But, it had so many language errors and so much redundant information. I have tried as much as possible to fix them. As you know, writing a post is easier than correcting someone's lengthy post.

If you don't have time or your attention span is not that good, this loooooong post can be summarized in one line: *TAKE ONE TABLE SPOON OF ORGANIC COW GHEE EVERYDAY, PREFERABLY IN THE MORNING, AND SEE ALL YOUR PROBLEMS GO AWAY IN A SHORT WHILE!! ☺*

*About Ghee*

#Ghee belongs to the class of clarified butter which originated in India and currently being used in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, America, Nepal, Pakistan and some other countries for various cuisines and rituals purposes.

It is prepared at home in India by boiling butter, evaporating its water and removing residues. It can be stored for long periods at room temperature without refrigerating. It can be easily stored by keeping it in the airtight container to prevent it from oxidation. It is made from milk of cow, buffalo, goat and etc. However ghee made from cows' milk is the best. More grass a cow grazes more yellowish its ghee becomes because of more chlorophyll. India is the largest ghee producer and consumer all over the world.

*Benefits of Ghee*

Ghee is a premium quality food having lots of nutritional benefits and used for variety of medicinal and consumption purposes. It is considered as an essential part of a balanced diet. It is a big myth in the society that ghee is fatty and makes people fat. Yes, it adds lots of weight to the body if taken irregularly or more than required. If it is taken within limit or only the amount required by the body, it provides lots of health benefits.

It can be enjoyed in many ways in Indian cuisines. It is much better to use ghee instead of refined oil or butter, as it contains small chain fatty acids which can be easily digested by the stomach and nourishes the health. Whereas refined oil and butter contain long chain and medium chain fatty acids which are heavy to digest and can add fat to our bellies as well as to overall body.
